Hi. We're Facet, a daily puzzle game. This is our privacy policy — written by a human, for humans, in plain English. We'll tell you exactly what we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it. Spoiler: we don't sell it to anyone.
Facet is a daily themed puzzle platform at facet.games. We're a small independent company. When you have questions, you're talking to a real person, not a support bot.

We create an anonymous session so the app works — your game progress saves locally in your browser. We don't know who you are. We don't store anything about you on our servers until you complete a game, at which point we save your score (no name attached, just a random ID).
When you sign up we ask for your email address. That's it. No name required. No phone number. No date of birth. No address.

If you subscribe to All Access or a Family plan, payments are handled by Stripe — a trusted payment processor used by millions of companies. We never see your full card number. Stripe stores your payment information, not us. You can read Stripe's privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.
We don't sell your data. Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone. Ever.
We don't show you ads. Facet is funded by subscriptions, not advertising.
We don't track you across other websites. We have no interest in knowing what else you do online.
We don't use your data to train AI models or sell it to companies that do.
We don't share your personal information with third parties except:

Delete your account — You can delete your account and all associated data directly from your Account page. Your email, your scores, your streak — gone immediately. No waiting, no email required.
Export your data — Download a copy of everything we have about you directly from your Account page. One click, instant JSON download — no email required.
Unsubscribe from emails — Every email we send has an unsubscribe link. Use it anytime.
Fix incorrect information — If something looks wrong in your account, let us know.
Facet is intended for users 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, please email us at hello@facet.games and we'll delete it promptly.
We use industry-standard security practices:
No system is perfectly secure. If we ever experience a data breach that affects you, we'll notify you promptly and tell you exactly what happened.
If we make significant changes to this policy we'll notify you by email before the changes take effect. We won't change this policy in ways that hurt you without giving you a chance to respond.
Minor clarifications (fixing typos, adding examples) may happen without notice but will always be visible in the version history on GitHub.
